Hello,

and welcome to my personal learning showcase.

I teach Language Arts and advise the yearbook at Davenport Central High School in Davenport, Iowa. I am certified in Language Arts, all categories, for grades 5-12. My school implemented a 1-to-1 Chromebook rollout for the Language Arts department in my first year of teaching, and I have been interested in Instructional Technology ever since.

I believe that instructional technology has the power to be transformative for a classroom, and the courses in this program have helped me become not only a better teacher but also a more effective instructional technology advocate. I often lead “Bucket Byte” technology training sessions for teachers in my district and enjoy helping others with technology questions. I attended ISTE 2016 in Denver, Colorado and would love to attend future technology conferences. After graduation I am looking forward to continuing learning about and using technology in my classroom and being a champion for instructional technology in my school and district.
